Star Trek Classic Enterprise 27MHZ Review

I purchased this for my husband and he was looking forward to flying it all week. Upon actually taking it out into a grassy field, he was finally able to try it. This was a lot of fun until about the third landing. Then the flimsy Styrofoam body began to break down. Once this started, he couldn't control it, and the landings did progressively more damage. For the price, I would expect to have more than one play-session out of the toy. I understand it is basically a foam glider, but we expected it to last longer than a day. My poor geeky husband was very disappointed.

I am going to have to agree with Andy on this one. While the Sigel Dare figure is cool Darth Krayt comes up a little short. This should have been a figure that Hasbro went all out on but they cheaped their way out of, again. Darth Krayt's biggest disapointing feature are his two lightsabers. The blades are not the dark, "Sith blood" red that they should be. And on my figure the red paint is bleeding through the silver on both the lightsaber hilts. It's disapointing because these comic packs are mainly made for the older Star Wars fan collectors because we are the ones reading the books and comics that these characters are portrayed in. Also, Darth Krayt's armor should be a little darker and more metallic like on the photo. Sigel Dare's armor is metallic just like it is in the photo, so why screw up Darth Krayt which is the main reason that I wanted and purchased this comic pack in the first place. What really irks me is the way that Hasbro teases it's consumers like you and me with the outstanding early prototype photos but the end result that we buy ends up looking like crap. You have plenty of money Hasbro so quit taking advantage of the collectors like us that are keeping you going. Ever hear the term "Don't bite the hand that feeds ya'" Hasbro?

This precious angel rotates as the music box plays Ave Maria (Written by French Romantic composer Charles Gounod in 1859, Ave Maria consists of a melody superimposed over the Prelude No. 1 in C major, BWV 846, from Book I of The Well-Tempered Clavier, which was written by J.S. Bach some 137 years earlier.)

This treasure has been hand enameled in a pearlized ivory hue, by our skilled artisans. The angel's miniature, pink pinafore has been meticulously colored, and gold braiding decorates her hem. Even the cuffs of her sleeves have been set with pink, Swarovski Crystals! Her hair is a brilliant copper. Much attention to detail has been paid to this treasure.

The music box's base has been dipped in 24 Karat Gold. Pink Swarovski Crystals have been inlaid all around the diameter, and it features a beaded edge. Cherubs, dipped in 24 Karat Gold, decorate the sides. The footed stand has also been dipped in 24 Karat Gold.

I know, these aren't the kind of thing that will make your child smarter, more confident, or clean their room. But it if puts a smile on their face and makes them happy for awhile, isn't it still great?

My 7 year old daughter saw one at a friend's house and was fascinated by it. So when we found them at Lowes (for $15) it seemed like a reasonable price for a bunch of smiles. We actually picked up a couple (different colors) so that we had some in our stash for birthday presents for friends.

It looks like an ordinary mason jar. Inside is a happy looking (it has a painted face) little firefly that is discreetly attached to the lid by a wire. When you tap on the lid the firefly lights up and flits around the jar making little tapping noises on the glass. Sometimes it stops and just flaps its wings while its light slowly burns on and off. It is realistic enough to make you think of a warm summer night but 'cute' enough to remind you that you don't have a real firefly inside trying desperately to get out.

It turns itself off and is powered by two AA batteries in the lid (it comes with them).

We like the pink and green (really a neon yellow-green) lights best. A unique gift and fun item that will have your child (and you) smiling quickly.
