From the very beginning, this toy cat ("Blue Kitty") has been our daughter's very favorite, can't live without, goes everywhere toy. The tag on the kitty says "spot clean", but our Blue Kitty has taken MANY trips through the washer and dryer. We actually just replaced her after 3 1/2 years because she had finally become thread bare-- when you consider the rough use that Blue Kitty has seen every single day of those years, I am truly impressed with the quality. We did have to make up a "Blue Kitty Fairy" story to explain how she was miraculously as good as new again. $37.00 does seem a bit expensive for a stuffed toy, but she has absolutely been worth every penny!
