The Sturmgeschutz III was a German assault gun and tank destroyer. The simplicity, low cost, and short time to manufacture were definitive advantages that led to large production numbers during the early years of WWII, and the Sturmgeschutz III was Germanys most produced armored fighting vehicle of the war.Built on the chassis of the Panzer III tank, the StuG III was designed to keep up with advancing infantry units so it could be used to destroy enemy bunkers and other fortifications. Later versions were equiped with highvelocity guns and were used very effectively as tank destroyers.This 132 scale version of the StuG III Ausf. B depicts the vehicle as seen on the Eastern Front in 1941.This diecast German Sturmgeschutz III Ausf. B is part of Forces Of Valors Enthusiast Edition series, which is the extremely detailed version of this vehicle. The 132 scale die cast metal vehicle is approximately 6.5 inches long and has a gun barrel that raises and lowers, hatches that open and close, and a rolling tank suspension. It comes complete with a vehicle commander figure!

I got this one at a hobby shop, not from Amazon but the product is the same. This one is really lacking in features, only one hatch (the commanders) opens up. The wheels have no suspension where as the Tiger and King Tiger models DID have it. Here the suspension is just molded onto the side and wheels attached. There was a missed oppurtunity to have the tools on the right be detachable but they are molded onto the frame. Also the antena would have been a cool feature to pop up but it appears to be glued in place on the rail. The tank in itself is light, I believe the only metal in it is the top frame, still feels fairly light.

Overall I was expecting a little more but was somewhat dissapointed considering I own the Tiger and King Tiger models as well and have those to compare this one to. In my opinion it should be slashed in price to around $35-40 MAX since it is rather lacking compared to the rest of similar price range.
