I got this set for my daughter when she was only 18 months old because she LOVES the movie Tangled, she is 2 now and seems to enjoy this much more now that she is older (as expected, I mostly bought it for her at that age because it was an amazing sale), but there are a few things that aren't perfect.

Maybe it would be easier for a 3-year-old (which is the suggested age) but the doll does not sit very well at the vanity. Her legs sort of sprawl out, making it difficult for them to fit under the vanity, and the little seat really needs a back. The doll doesn't balance very well on the small seat and basically once in the chair sitting at the vanity the doll tips back and the legs go up against the top of the vanity table, which is the only thing that keeps the doll in the chair. It's not that stable and not really that great for brushing her hair. It's not the WORST, but with a little bit of force on the hair you could tip the whole thing over. An older girl could probably manage this fine, but toddlers might have a hard time.

The next issue I have are the little drawers on the top of the vanity, and the problem is that they are TOO little! Seriously they are ridiculously small, I don't even get it! The drawers are so shallow that you can't put anything in them. Maybe 2 super small elastics can fit in there, but that's about it. What is even more dumb is that if you flip the drawers upside down they're deeper on the underside! But they are angled so you cannot put them back in that way. For me this is the most annoying thing about this toy, because it's so pointless.

The last issue I have with this toy is that the doll's hair falls out like crazy! When we first got her I spent so much time brushing out her hair from the way it was packaged and then even more time cleaning up all the hair that fell out! Now that we've had her for a little bit longer she doesn't lose as much hair as she did at the start, but you still can't brush it without some coming out. I don't know if there is really any way around that. I've read about this problem with a lot of different dolls, but I worry about the doll going bald! The hair gets tangled up as well, but I was expecting that to happen.

Other than those few things, we love this toy. The doll is cute and I love all of the little accessories that come with this set. My daughter especially loves the little chameleon. She also enjoys the light and noises that vanity makes. I don't know, it pretty much only does that one thing though, and maybe an older child would find that boring. There is one big drawer in the vanity table that fits everything, so it also isn't a big deal that the top drawers are small, I just found that dumb. Over all this is a cute toy for any Tangled lover. I don't know if I would pay as much as I've been seeing it for recently, but I got it at half off and it was definitely worth it for us.
